To achieve the goal of an accident-free workplace our Safety and
Health Program will include:
• A Safety Administrator who is responsible for the
implementation of the program's requirements.
• Competent Persons at each worksite, typically a crew leader, who by
virtue of his/her experience or training has the ability to identify hazards and
take corrective steps to eliminate them.
• A Program of worksite safety and health assessments to identify and eliminate unsafe working conditions or practices, to control health hazards, and to comply fully with the safety and health standards for every job.
• A Safety Committee that meets regularly to review the effectiveness of the program.
• A Training Program that is tailored to address the types of dangers that are encountered in our work and that trains our employees in the methods to identify hazards, eliminate hazards, and how to properly protect themselves by using safe practices and personal protective equipment.
• Developing and enforcing safety and health rules and requiring that employees cooperate with these rules as a condition of employment.
• Investigating, promptly and thoroughly, every accident and near-miss to find out what caused it and to correct the problem so that it won't happen again.
• Developing site-specific programs when working in environments that present peculiar hazards.
